Question 1

Are these calculators free?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Every calculator on this page runs in your browser with no account, no ads, and no limit on how many problems you try.

Question 2

Do they show the steps or just the answer?

Accepted Answer

Every one shows numbered steps, the same way a teacher would write the solution on the board. The answer alone is rarely what you need for homework.

Question 3

How is a handwritten page different from the calculator steps?

Accepted Answer

The calculator gives typed steps for checking your work. ShowYourWork takes the same problem and writes the full solution out by hand on real-looking paper, in your own handwriting if you upload a sample, so it looks like work you can turn in and study from.

Question 4

Will you add more calculators?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The list grows with what students ask for. Derivative, integral, and limit calculators are coming next and need a symbolic math engine, so for now those problems go straight to the AI solver.
